Costa del Sol Glamping Village: a new concept of sustainable accommodation in Andalusia

Costa del Sol Glamping Village celebrated yesterday its official inauguration, marking a significant milestone in establishing itself as one of the most attractive destinations in Andalusia. The event gathered notable figures from the tourism sector, local and regional authorities, as well as business leaders and media, who had the opportunity to experience firsthand the facilities of this innovative tourist complex that blends nature with luxury.

Just three months after its opening on July 9, Costa del Sol Glamping Village has already achieved outstanding occupancy rates, with over 1,500 families from 32 different countries enjoying this unique accommodation experience. The complex offers a distinctive option for those wanting to embrace the outdoors while enjoying the comforts of a resort. Throughout the summer, occupancy levels exceeded all expectations, with weeks of full capacity.

The inauguration ceremony featured speeches from both public and private figures, highlighting the project’s commitment to sustainability. Iván González, representing the property, and Carlos Dexeus, president of Tamba Group, opened the event with a speech emphasizing the importance of environmentally conscious tourism initiatives. Francisco Salado, president of the Diputación de Málaga, Ana Mula, mayor of Fuengirola, and Ana Carmen Mata, mayor of Mijas, also addressed the audience, stressing the positive impact that such projects have on the economic and social development of the region.

Guests were given guided tours of the various accommodation options, from cozy “Hanna” bungalows to family-friendly spaces and pet-friendly stays. The complex spans 40,000 square meters and includes amenities such as a pool, spa, gym, recreational areas, and daily activities for all ages.

After the formal proceedings, attendees enjoyed a cocktail reception at the Gastro Suel restaurant, renowned for its fusion of traditional Andalusian cuisine with contemporary touches. The restaurant, also open to the general public, enhances the region’s gastronomic and entertainment offerings with themed weekend events and private venue options. In addition to its success with tourists, Costa del Sol Glamping Village has had a positive impact on the local community, creating 60 jobs and contributing to the area’s economic growth. The project’s focus on responsible tourism and environmental sustainability has been one of the key factors behind its success.

The official opening not only celebrates the achievements of the past few months but also solidifies Costa del Sol Glamping Village as a leader in sustainable tourism. With its diverse offerings and strong commitment to preserving the environment, the complex is becoming a favorite destination for those seeking a unique experience in nature.

Tamba Group, which manages Costa del Sol Glamping Village, has played a crucial role in its success, bringing its renowned expertise in managing tourist accommodations, as demonstrated with the award-winning Tamarit Beach Resort in Tarragona. The addition of Costa del Sol Glamping Village to its portfolio strengthens the company’s presence in Spain’s outdoor and glamping tourism market.

With exceptional occupancy and an innovative approach, Costa del Sol Glamping Village continues to pave the way toward becoming a leader in glamping and sustainable tourism in Andalusia.
