The Italian Gianluca Mager is the AnyTech365 Andalucía Open Challenger 80 champion. The 4th Top Seed has beaten in the final the 2020 runner-up, the Spaniard Jaume Munar. The final result was 2-6; 6-3; 6-2. This is the fourth Challenger title of his career and the first one since 2019.
Munar started very confident in his game and he was up 6-2 but everything changed in the second set. Mager broke two times the Service and the set was for him (6-3). His powerful hits was one of the keys.
In the last set was, Mager was up again, Munar tried to react with 4-1 down but the Italian was very solid. 6-2 and title for Gianluca. This trophy permits Mager re-enter to the Top-100 FedEx ATP Rankings.
In the press conference room, the Italian recognized the toughness of the match and he talked about “no specific goals” for this season. His next appointment, again in Marbella: AnyTech365 Andalucía Open ATP 250.
