Next Friday, June 29th, La Cala Resort will be the stage for an unprecedented gastronomic evening: the “Four Hands Dinner” . This exclusive event, marking the 35th anniversary of La Cala Resort and the 25th anniversary of its sister resort, Faithlegg in Ireland, is a unique opportunity for local residents to enjoy a high-level culinary fusion of Irish and Andalusian traditions.

A unique Gastronomic Celebration

In this special dinner, chefs Jenny Flynn from Faithlegg Hotel and Brian Deegan from La Cala Resort will combine their talents to create a menu that highlights the best of both countries. Brian Deegan, originally from Dublin, will design dishes that capture the Andalusian essence, while Jenny Flynn will bring the vibrant essence of Waterford to each creation.

The Evening’s Menu

The night will begin at 19:30 with a welcome cocktail on the terrace of La Cala Resort’s restaurant. The seven-course menu will include delights such as:

• Mar Azul: tomato salad with Irish apple.
• Scallop with Riofrío caviar, cauliflower, and plankton beurre blanc.
• Almadraba tuna with organic lentils, baby spinach, and roast juice.
• Irish Skeaghanore duck with sea salt, wild garlic powder, vegetables, star anise, and orange juice.
• A selection of Spanish and Irish cheeses.
• Dark chocolate dessert with caramel jelly, Irish yogurt, and rosemary sorbet.
• Barry’s Tea Fudge, to close the dinner with a sweet touch.

Each dish will be accompanied by selected Spanish wines, including Augustus Trajanus, Bestué Chardonnay Barrica, Lucio Tinto Ronda, and Maestro Viña Axarkía. Additionally, a classical string quartet will set the mood with their elegant melodies.
