The second edition of the tennis tournament, Casino Admiral Trophy will once again make Marbella the center of national and international tennis. The organization presented the list of contenders for the challenger title, scoring for the world ATP ranking. Tennis professionals will try to take the 80 points of classification, in addition to attractive cash prizes (43,000 euros in total).
The list of participants includes three players who are in the top 100 of the world ranking: the French Benoit Paire (69), the Spanish Pablo Andújar (93) and the Czech Jiri Vesely (98). Andújar starred in a spectacular comeback from the distant position No. 1,800 of the ATP Ranking in February to No. 82 in the world.
Benoit, champion for the first time in the ATP World Tour in 2015, is considered one of the best tennis players in the neighboring country. Suffering from injuries since 2014, his uncontrollable nature on the track can turn against him or, on the contrary, can put his rival in serious trouble, as was the case with the six-time champion Djokovic in the second round of the past Masters 1000 of Miami. We must also pay attention to the performance of the Serbian Filip Krajinovic (103), the finalist of the Master 1000 of Paris in 2017 and former number 26 of the world last year. The Czech Vesely does not go unnoticed either. Among his most recent achievements stands out the first victory against a Top 10, the No. 1 Djokovic, to reach the third round of the ATP Masters 1000 Monte-Carlo.
“The list of participants includes nine rackets that once formed part of the Top 50 and two members of the Top 10,” says the tournament director, Ronnie Leitgeb who also notes the Spanish Tommy Robredo (No. 5) and the Austrian Jürgen Melzer (No. 8). “You will see a lot of level and fantastic matches,” announces Leitgeb.
The representative of the Andalusian Tennis Federation has shown his confidence in the Andalusian representatives to whom he predicts success in the tournament, saying that “they will play a good role.” Similarly, the director of Hotel Puente Romano, Jorge Manzur, highlighted the level of the competition remembering that it “brings together elite players” and stressed that this appointment is the opportunity to “enjoy the best level of tennis in Marbella during the year.”
VIP EXPERIENCE
In its second edition, Casino Admiral Trophy offers important news. In parallel to the daytime sports activity, the tournament has organized a special program in the VIP part of the tournament, an exclusive enclave located inside the Tennis Club of Puente Romano.
This social and leisure initiative, called VIP Experience, will take place over three consecutive days (March 28, 29 and 30) in which three shows inspired by different musical genres will be offered. On Thursday 28th, the lyric will be the main protagonist of the night with the celebration of a tribute to the great soprano Monserrat Caballé. The night of Friday the 29th is reserved for the personal and unmistakable Flamenco of Manolito by Gypsy Kings Family and, the last night the dance floor will surely be filled with the rhythm of the musical hymns of the legendary group Boney M.
General tickets for the tournament and VIP Experience nights can already be purchased at the Entradium platform. Like last year, the event combines days of free entry and paid entry days, the latter at very affordable prices (from 10 to 25 and 48 euros).
